2009 US NATIONALS CHAMPIONS Rams 4 vs Jets 1

The Leominster Ma Rams coached by John Stamas defeated the Jets in a very close final game. The Jets defeated the Twin City Coyotes in the Qtr finals 2-1 and then edged the Mass Cyclones 2-0  in the Semi's, with an impressive goaltending performance by Bobby Vorse. The Rams Qtr final was an exciting  3-2 OT win over the the Elite, in the Semi's the Rams  were down 3 to 1 to former Champs, Pete Walter's Gr Boston Stars & went on to win 7-3.  The final game was scoreless until midway through the 2nd period when Rams Brian Reynolds scored from Chris MacKenzie, two minutes later Jets Ryan DiBartolomeo tied the game on a breakaway pass from Andrew Hildreth. Rams took the lead on a faceoff deep in the Jets zone, only 14 seconds left in the period. Bobby Housser won the draw to Cody Warila, his rebound was put in by Conan Langlois. The Rams pulled away early in the 3rd on JR Russo's blast from the point. Housser & Steve Kendall assisted.  Cody Warila rounded out the scoring on a pass from teammate Bobby Housser to clinch the title. Rams Bobby Housser was voted Most Valuable Player,  Jets Andrew Hildreth Most Valuable Defenceman, , Rams famed veteran goalie Rick Breau posted 1 shutout & turned away 21 shots in the final was awarded Most Valuable Goalie. Rams Bobby Housser was the Tounament Leading Scorer, with 15 Pts  4 goals & 11 assists, Warila was right behind with 7 goals & 6 assists. The Rams have won 36 staight games & in that span of tourney's, 8 Overtime victories and 14 shutouts by Breau.
